Starting June 2016, RNCA’s academic programmes are entirely based on the Partnership Agreement signed with South Tyneside College, the oldest and most prestigious English maritime college (www.stc.ac.uk).
Therefore, our institution has greatly improved and diversified the delivery of maritime training in Romania, providing an exclusive and unique educational offer: a 4-year British – Romanian academic programme for Deck, Engineer and Electro-technical Officers. These programmes qualify graduates for British Higher National Diplomas (HND) and Certificates of Competency (CoC). The four-year training programme includes a period of 12 months paid seagoing apprenticeship service guaranteed for by the Romanian Nautical College Assn.!
Postgraduate courses offered by RNCA include a wide range of training schemes a merchant marine officer needs in order to access some of the best paid jobs in modern seafaring industry: management level courses (Chief Mate and Second Engineer), offshore and DP (Dynamic Positioning) courses, stability and ballast control, as well as numerous other STCW highly specialized courses.
